CfPS are working on a number of projects at the moment, in addition to those highlighted on the bar to your left.

Throughout 2011/12 we are carrying out a range of work across the public sector, in:

• policing (around the establishment of Police and Crime Panels, and investigating comparisons between the English and Welsh police reforms and international examples);
• research into overview and scrutiny's response to summer 2011's riots;
• research into the outcomes and impacts of overview and scrutiny;
• tenant scrutiny in social housing (further to the Localism Act);
• the accountability and governance of voluntary and community sector organisations;
• accountability in the education sector.

Some of this work is carried out by our small team of volunteer research assistants. As this work progresses we will update the website.
