RE: Adult Safeguarding: corporate "parenting" board
There are Adult Safeguarding Boards in most upper tier councils that perform the function you describe. If you 'Google' the term you can find more deatils from other councils.

RE: Adult Safeguarding: corporate "parenting" board
Thanks both.
We also emailed County & Unitary Councils also and had a number of very helpful responses and are discussing at scrutiny next week. Sems the issue is how does the Adult Safeguarding Board relate to other governance structures (like scrutiny). Worcestershire County Council |

Suzanne Wrote:Thanks both. Hi Suzanne, Here at Derbyshire CC the Adult Health & Care Committee has a standing sub-group concerned with safeguarding adults at risk and I'm currently drafting a new workplan for the coming year which i'd be happy share once approved. This sub-group will be linking in with the work of the Countywide Adults at Risk Partnership Board so as to be assured of the work of both the Council and its partners. |
