Member allowances - scrutiny
Hi all,

Has anyone got any national overview information on the range of special responsiblity allowances for scrutiny members?

Or...

In particular, I would be interested to hear from any authorities which pay the same level of allowance to their lead scrutiny chairman as to Cabinet members and/or examples from councils with commissioning models of scrutiny.

Any info gratefully received. You can email me directly on sturnbull@buckscc.gov.uk or post response.

Many thanks

RE: Member allowances - scrutiny
Hi Sara - sadly, levels of allowances are one piece of information that we don't collect through the annual survey.

I will see if anyone at the LGA collates IRP decisions on these issues - I have a feeling though that this information might be difficult to get hold of centrally. A job for mySociety, perhaps.

RE: Member allowances - scrutiny
The Chair of our Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee has the same allowance as Cabinet Members. For more information on Coventry the link to the relevant page in our constitution is
