RE: When Has an Inquiry / Review Been Implemented?
This old chestnut!
I think most authorities do - or like to think they do - option "b". Obviously the ways of doing this can range from highly scientific to quite, um, subjective in nature. I know that this was discussed on the old forum but it would be interesting to get people's views. However, because this is a common subject for discussion I'd like to suggest that we use the wiki for this, to build up some information on this topic. I will put a page up and let's see if we get some responses. |

RE: When Has an Inquiry / Review Been Implemented?
Business Plans
For sometime we put Executive Updates on reviews onto work programmes six months after they are first received. It sometimes works. More recently we have got agreement to put agreed Executive responses to reviews into department's Business Plans for them to action and be accountable. The Executive has agreed them and so they are legitimate items so that when an update is required it should be relatively easy to produce an update. A double check on this is that at the start of the new scrutiny committee's work programming session we have the departments new business plans as one of the sources for identifying items. Check to see if relevant reviews are on there. best wishes john |
