RE: Draft regulations - 2007 Act
Just to update you all, I expect to hear from Helen Moores at CLG over the next couple of days to find out when the regs will be laid in Parliament and, importantly, what (if any) changes will be made from the draft.

Our draft guidance (commissioned by CLG) for these powers, which has been "on ice" for the last few months because of the delays, will then be produced as soon as possible thereafter. As I believe I've written elsewhere, the guidance will be flexible, light-touch and, above all, brief. I know that's what I said about the CCfA guidance, which ended up being a bit on the long side, but this time I really mean it.
