RE: We have a hero!
I think he works at Swansea (well, a Google search reveals a Spencer who works there, and it's not a particularly common first name).

Any Welsh colleagues know more? Should we all write to him with requests for autographs?

Perhaps we should get him to talk at the next conference about how his experiences on the programme have helped him in the day job.

He certainly sounded like he had a welsh accent.... (we're sensitive to such things in our household...)

Perhaps we consider that wearing a garish lycra suit and a crash helmet while trying to squeeze through a series of absurd obstacles floating in cold water seemed like a welcome change from the day job?

That just made me properly laugh out loud and now I look like an idiot in my open plan office. Thanks Tongue (and also, putting my hand up!)
