RE: Scrutiny Manager Role - Cambridgeshire
Richard

Sorry for taking so long to respond to this post.

If you are a member of Linkedin, you might do well to advertise the post there too. There are some very good people looking for all manner of roles, on either an interim or contract basis.

If you are not a member of Linkedin, and if you trust me enough, I am a member of several forums and would be happy to post details of the role on your behalf and let any prospective candidates contact you direct.

My only observation would be that, even allowing for a lean period and contracted daily rates, £300p/d for a Scrutiny Manager who also possesses an extensive knowledge of local authorities, might be too low. You might need to lift it to between £400 and £450p/d - particularly if they are heading up the function and/or managing teams. Of course, without the Job Description to inform me, I cannot say for sure.

Anyhow, best of luck in identifying the right candidate.

Very kind regards

ANDREW MERRITT-MORLING

Interim Head of Scrutiny at SEEDA

(South East England Development Agency)
