RE: cultural impacts on nutrition in hospitals
Can I ask as to why you are only looking at acute hospitals and not also community?

RE: cultural impacts on nutrition in hospitals
We are limiting it to acute hospitals in order to keep the review manageable.

RE: cultural impacts on nutrition in hospitals
When we covered hospital food we found our PPI forums had done a review of community hospitals. They had visited, watched meals times, tasted food, talked to patients etc and highlighted good practice (one I remember was each patient had a colour coded place mat depending on support required - red meant help with holding fork needed etc). I doubt they would have investigated nutritional content etc, but they may have done mystery shopping style look at the meal time experiences which could be useful. I don't know how easy it would be to get hold of PPI now that it is LINks but may be of help?
