Scrutiny Shaping Budget Proposals

RE: Scrutiny Shaping Budget Proposals
Hi David, thanks for this.

The questions of how overview and scrutiny up and down the land is involving itself in budget decisions

is a big and relevant one.

There are a few technical points: how is the executive consulting on its proposals?

is it sharing the feedback with o and s? how are other forms of budget 'feedback' being

considered? Here for example the committees are hearing from lead petitioners at committees where the

petition relates to proposed budget savings.

Best wishes John

RE: Scrutiny Shaping Budget Proposals
the Cabinet has prepared a list of potential schemes to achieve required savings and will consider Scrutiny's responses. A wider public engagement campaign is also underway.
