"Paperless" meetings

RE: "Paperless" meetings
At broadland we have asked Members about going paperless, there are fears and concerns about the effectiveness of meetings should it be rolled out. We are looking to undertake a pilot after Elections with new Members by issuing them with laptops for meetings; i believe it will be trialled over 6 months before reporting back to Council as to whether it worked.

We have already been using projectors to display meeting papers at officer meetings and it seems to be working well, however feedback has highlighted concerns about not being able to make personal notes, prompts or references to take away on the papers and their notebook notes don't always make sense of which element of the meeting they are referring to.

Hope this helps!
