Hi everyone,

Welcome to the new forum and the new website.

Those of you with long memories will see that this forum looks very similar to the one we used to have way back pre-2009. The difference is that it is properly integrated with the rest of the site.

The forum uses the open-source myBB software and allows you to send private messages, rate threads, identify and aggregate new posts, and actually edit your posts too.

If you have any difficulties please let us know.

On the new website more generally, please let us know if you see anything - broken links, pages not displaying as they should, etc. We are already aware of two relatively major problems that we are trying to resolve:

1. A fault (which seems to be restricted to IE8) that carries out a forced close and recover when transitioning between pages - if you encounter this, please let me know (including which browser you are using and the pages you were moving between, for debugging purposes).

2. A rendering problem with the "slider" pictures on the front page (you'll know what I mean if you see it)

I hope that these can be ironed out in the near future and that they don't cause you too many problems.

Hi all,

The website is nearly properly up and running (I know, it's taken long enough).

There are a couple of outstanding issues - reigstration to this forum (where a number of spam accounts have been registered and used, and where we're trying to tighten up on registration requirements to resolve) and the uploading of "user-generated content" - reviews into the reviews library and jobs information.

Hopefully both of these should be sorted in the next few days.

Hi - how do I amend my user profile (eg add a signature)? I can't work it out!

Hi Suzanne - towards the top of the page you'll see your name and a link in brackets to "User CP" - this is the user control panel from where you can change your signature and other information.
