Having read a few of the reviews in the library, I was wondering whether any authorities had successfully asked the Police to make a financial contribution to the funding of their CCTV system?

Ideally, I'm looking for examples of a direct financial contribution, rather than 'in kind' funding.

While I haven't had a chance to have a proper trawl through, I think there's definitely some precedent for this.

I think that some areas fund this kind of thing via the CSP, which requires a joint contribution from a number of CSP partners.

I will see if I can find out. In the meantime, you want want to try speaking to Chris Williams at the LGA, who is likely to know something of the policy detail of this.
