Sad death of early scrutiny supporter and friend of CfPS
It is with sadness that we have to report the untimely death of Andrea Staltmeier, who was an early supporter of both scrutiny and CfPS, who died at the end of last year following a year-long battle with a malignant brain tumour. Colleagues who have been active in the scrutiny world since the early days will no doubt warmly remember Andrea, who worked on a number of projects with and for CfPS, for her great enthusiasm and energy in all that she did.
Jane Martin, CfPS’s first Executive Director, remembers Andrea as “an unfailingly good colleague and a supporter of the cause”, sentiments echoed by Gareth Wall, who worked closely with Andrea when he was also at CfPS. We sent condolences and our thanks and memories of Andrea to her family on behalf of the wider scrutiny community.
