We have recruited six Regional Advocates to help increase our capacity and effectiveness to provide practical help during tough economic times. As budgets are under pressure, we think it’s really important for CfPS to have an active presence close to the frontline, helping people to understand how our principles can build trust and add value. Our Advocates will be able to provide advice and support about:

• placing accountability, transparency and involvement at the heart of service planning and delivery
• principles and practice of local scrutiny and accountability
  

Each Regional Advocate will support council scrutiny networks and support our work on different aspects of the health reforms, building relationships across a range of sectors. They will help to identify and develop innovative practice and share this locally and nationally.
