Welsh colleagues will be aware that the Welsh Government has recently consulted on guidance while, further to the recently-passed local government Measure, will make some changes to scrutiny and how it operates.

The guidance covers a wide range of issues - our response focuses just on scrutiny and democratic services. English colleagues may like to "compare and contrast" these proposals with those in the Localism Act.
