To update you all, because the Draft Local Audit Bill has now been published I will be knocking the regeneration PB to the autumn and putting out a briefing on the future of local public audit in the next fortnight instead.
I was thinking the response of the council and its local partners to events like recent floods , the powers of local authorities to hold its own authority to account and also staff in other agencies forr decisions about the use of resources and the effectiveness of their plans.
The changes in health and planned introduction of police crime panels will create an interesting set of relationships which a paper on emergency planning could explore.
