RE: Health scrutiny regulations consultation
On the point about referrals being made by the full council, the consultation document says

"This will also bring health oversight and scrutiny functions in line with other local authority scrutiny functions, which also require the agreement of a full council"

I'm struggling to think what this refers to. Any ideas?

RE: Health scrutiny regulations consultation
Shelley - I assumed they meant that scrutiny has to get Council (or Cabinet) agreement to implementation of any of its recommendations, as scrutiny can't take decisions. However, as health scrutiny powers relating to substantial changes are very different and health scrutiny comes under different legislation I don't think it's a very helpful parallel!

RE: Health scrutiny regulations consultation
Hi all,

The closing date for responses to the consultation is today. I'd be interested to know if anyone is willing to share theirs, or if CfPS are collecting general views? We're a bit concerned that these regs are just going to be imposed anyway regardless of opposition or support!

Thanks in advance,

Kate
