CANCELLED Free Event - Introduction to adult social care and health
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED - APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE

25th July 2012, Local Government House, London

This is a free event for new and recently appointed lead members and scrutiny chairs in adult social care and health.

The Centre for Public Scrutiny and the LGA are hosting a free introduction event on 25 July on adult social care and health.

The aim of the event is to support new Members in what can be a very demanding and publicly accountable set of responsibilities. It will provide an overview of the current key policy issues and challenges, including safeguarding and sector led improvement.
The event will focus on the role and responsibilities of local leaders, with lead LGA councillors leading the sessions throughout
the day to ensure the unique perspective from members is fully captured and communicated. It also will provide lots of opportunities for sharing current practice, discussion and networking.

The event is free to attend.
