Website maintenance
Hi all,

Over the summer we will be doing some website maintenance.

Principally, this will involve going through all our publications, and all the reviews in the review library, and consistently assigning "tags" to each document to make them much easier to search.

When we transferred data over from our old website, all the old metadata was lost, and since then we have taken a somewhat ad hoc approach to using keywords and tags on our publications - it's resulted in a difficult-to-search database, and knowing that being able to use the review library to find relevant pieces of work quickly and easily is particularly important, we realised that we had to make this a priority - even though it's a pretty huge task. But when it's done it's done, and we won't have to worry about it again.

We have somebody here working on it throughout August, and so you may experience additional difficulties over the next couple of weeks as we remove old tags and replace them with new ones. This will be temporary and you should start to notice significant improvements later in the month. Our intention is that everything should be finished by the second week of September, if not earlier.

At the same time I'm going to be doing a sweep of the whole website to identify any broken links or pages that are significantly out of date. Please let me know if there's anything to which you'd like to draw my attention that you think needs updating.
