Governance of Sustainability and Transformation Plans: the verdict so far

Posted on July 3, 2017 by Jolanta Shields.

This publication examines the governance and scrutiny of Sustainability and Transformation Plans/Partnerships (STPs). The report is based on research conducted by Jolanta Shields, a doctoral researcher from the University of Manchester, and was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Eighteen semi-structured interviews were carried out with STP leaders, communication and engagement leads, chairs of health scrutiny and other stakeholders. The report examines what has worked well and what has been less successful and makes five recommendations to improve the governance of sustainability and transformation plans.
