Working on the principle that nobody is as smart as everybody, the entire improvement section of this website has been constructed for the purpose of collaborative development.
That means giving you the opportunity to work with us and each other to develop templates, share experiences and suggest ideas that scrutiny practitioners can take away and put into practice.
In web terms, this is commonly achieved by using something called a wiki. Don't panic, it's not technical, it's very simple. In fact you're reading one right now.
A wiki is a type of website that allows users to add, remove, or otherwise edit all content, very quickly and easily - most famously employed in creating the Wikipedia. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for collaborative writing.
At CfPS we began experimenting with the process of collaborative development when launching our self-evaluation framework. Quite a few readers have taken the opportunity to make amendments to the framework by adding questions or simply letting us how they have used it in their organisation.
We are now planning to provide more opportunities for collaborative development. To begin with, this will be in conjunction with our Good Scrutiny Guide. But this will shortly be joined by others, such as templates for scrutiny work programme selection, report formats, etc. If you have any suggestions for what could be next please let us know or simply create a new page yourself and get going.
In the meantime, please use the navigation provided in the right-hand panel to find content available for collaborative development at present.
