A self evaluation of the Overview and Scrutiny function at Northampton was repeated in 2012, again with support from Local Government peers. This evaluation was very positive, again acknowledging the achievements made in Overview and Scrutiny, a number of which have been cited as good practice. A limited number of challenges were suggested and all of the achievements and challenges will form an Excellence Plan for Overview and Scrutiny which was adopted by the Committee in the autumn 2013.
