New Executive Director Appointed

Jacqui McKinlay

Staffordshire County Council’s Director of Strategy and Customer Services Jacqui McKinlay has been appointed the new Executive Director at the Centre for Public Scrutiny.

Jacqui will take up the role on 1 May. She will succeed Jessica Crowe who has joined Sutton LBC as its Executive Head of Customers, Commissioning and Governance.

In accepting the role, Jacqui said the CfPS had a “hugely important role” in ensuring public sector organisations’ were “fit for purpose”.

She said: “Over the decade, the remit of the CfPS has continued to expand and recent issues such as the Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal demonstrate how important it is for local authorities and the wider public sector to be held to account for both their actions and their decisions.” CfPS will shortly be announcing a new Chair to take over Nick Raynsford MP. In the meantime CfPS Trustee, Jim Clifford OBE, will act as interim chair.
