Cuts in Service views: 972

Hi. I am just about to start a scrutiny review exploring ways in which Warwickshire County Council can enter into a meaningful dialogue with the public and other stakeholders regarding the cuts in service that will certainly be coming. I see that West Lothian is running an initiative called "Tough Choices" which is getting council departments to identify "savings" and informing residents of what the future holds for them in terms of service delivery. Is anyone else doing something similar either in terms of a scrutiny review or initiatives aimed at keeping the public engaged?

Re: Cuts in Service

I suggested that OSCs should be involved in 'CSR type' scrutiny reviews. Jackie Sayers at South Cambridgeshire was thinking of trying something but I don't know if anyone else has considered it?

It is something that CfPS would advocate as a very worthwhile activity for OSCs
