This section contains annual reports of overview and scrutiny committees. Annual reports are an opportunity to review the scrutiny work programme for the last year and asses the impact scrutiny has had on influencing policy and holding the executive to account. Fear of Crime

The purpose of the review was to; develop an understanding of the drivers of fear of crime in Sunderland, review evidence of the action being taken by Safer Sunderland Partnership (SSP) to reduce fear of crime and increase public reassurance and review evidence of local measures and performance.

Response to proposals for Harmonisation of Fees and Charges

Durham County Council's Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee were asked by the Executive to facilitate a review looking at specific proposals for the harmonisation of fees and charges.
