Sandwell Leisure Trust has delivered sports and leisure facilities on behalf of Sandwell Council for over 5 years. As the main operator of sports and leisure facilities in the borough, it has a key role in the development of, and provision of infrastructure and expertise towards, key initiatives in the borough.
Doctors Out of Hours service is part of a range of providers of medical expertise that Richmondshire residents can call upon such as Ambulance Services, NHS Direct, First Responders and Accident and Emergency Departments. Richmondshire Scrutiny interviewed these providers in order to understand their place in meeting our residents needs.
The 2008 Annual Residents Survey indicated that concern about crime in Merton has risen by 7% on the previous year and is the highest rated concern for Merton residents. However, it is lower than the London average and disproportionate to the actual level of recorded crime. Merton’s Scrutiny Commission therefore decided to review the fear of crime and seek ways to address this disparity.
This Task and Finish Group was set up to investigate the early summer 2008 contaminated water incident in Northampton and some surrounding areas.
The review was split into two phases:-
Phase One - The Task and Finish Group heard from the public and local businesses how they felt Anglian Water Ltd responded to the recent situation of contaminated water supply. The findings of the Review were forwarded to the Drinking Water Inspectorate to help inform its report. A copy has also been forwarded to Northamptonshire County Council and the Water Consumer Council.
Phase Two – The Task and Finish Group reviewed the Drinking Water Inspectorate’s report and Anglian Water Ltd’s report into the situation.
