The Centre for Public Scrutiny promotes the value of scrutiny and accountability in modern and effective government and supports non-executives in their scrutiny role
With support from the CfPS Members from Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council undertook a joint review looking at Excess Winter Deaths and Fuel Poverty across their sub-region. This is the result of the review panel's work. In brief the panel concluded that agencies were not working effectively together. This resulted in duplication and inefficiency. It was recommended that a working group be established by the three authorities to bring public agencies together, plan winter campaigns and develop training packages.
