Steve Sienkiewicz

Steve is the CfPS Regional Advocate for the north of England, covering the North West, North East and Yorkshire & Humber regions.

Steve, a law graduate, has a wide ranging public sector background, latterly working within Democratic Services at Blackpool Council as Scrutiny Manager for 12 years until May 2015. During that time, he gained a great deal of experience in local authority governance matters and Overview and Scrutiny.

With a particular interest in health scrutiny, Steve supported the health scrutiny function at Blackpool throughout his time there and also worked closely with other key stakeholders within the health economy. He was closely involved in the establishment of Local Involvement Networks (LINks) and latterly, local Healthwatch.

Steve is an experienced trainer, facilitator and negotiator and has worked closely with CfPS for a number of years. He sat on the CfPS National Forum for three years, during which time he was Chairman of the North West Scrutiny Support Officers Network. Although he should know better, Steve continues to be a long suffering supporter of Morecambe F.C.
