Training and Development

One of CfPS’ key functions is to provide help and assistance to scrutiny practitioners. Training can be formal and informal, delivered by and for officers or elected or lay members, and involve a conference audience of 400 or a small group of three or four.

Training can use a variety of different exercises and techniques, or none at all. What is most important to remember is that whatever training is carried out, or whatever training sessions are attended by scrutiny practitioners, it should be relevant to their particular training and development needs.

CfPS is able to provide support to organisations who, having considered their training needs, are looking for opportunities to fulfil them.
