The Centre for Public Scrutiny promotes the value of scrutiny and accountability in modern and effective government and supports non-executives in their scrutiny role
The Centre for Public Scrutiny produces several library monitors a year. These publications pull together the valuable experience and knowledge from overview and scrutiny committees who have already completed a review on a popular or hot issue and submitted it into our reviews Library. The publications provide a one-stop-shop resource for scrutineers who are thinking of carrying out a review on the same issue.
The 11th edition of the CfPS scrutiny ’Library Monitor’ looks at the subject of Choice Based Lettings (CBL) and draws information from case study reviews into the subject (hosted in our library).
The 10th edition of the CfPS overview and scrutiny review library monitor looks at worklessness and references 11 case study reviews.
The 9th edition of the CfPS scrutiny 'Library Monitor' looks at the subject of childhood obesity and for the first time includes guidance and benchmarking information. If you are planning to undertake a review into childhood obesity this is a must read!
This is the eighth edition of the Library Review which provides an holistic review of a theme that is salient to Overview and Scrutiny Committees. This edition provides an overview of 10 reviews undertaken around the relative merits of CCTV.
