The Centre for Public Scrutiny promotes the value of scrutiny and accountability in modern and effective government and supports non-executives in their scrutiny role
As well as being able to directly provide support to any public sector organisation looking for help in bolstering their accountability, transparency and governance mechanisms, we can offer this support through our expert Associate programme.
Our Associates are a range of current and former scrutiny practitioners, who offer a significant benefit over other consultants in that they have direct experience of scrutiny in a range of different authorities and bodies.
Many of our Associates have formal training and development qualifications, and all are supported by CfPS in terms of knowledge of current notable practice, national developments and legislation.
What others say
Our Associates have been working with us for over two years, in which time we have significantly expanded the programme and received plaudits from a string of extremely satisfied clients, of which these are a small selection.
“Your speed, flexibility and quality was outstanding”
“[The Associate] provided an excellent half day session both explaining the new legislative requirements as well as facilitating discussion with our Chairs, helping to identify key themes, issues and next steps. The Chairs were unanimous in their positive feedback for his effectiveness, presentation style and pace of delivery”.
“Dealt with many aspects of scrutiny that I had not previously thought of. Good approach, good facilitating – open-minded and responsive.”
