Don Massey

Don is the Operations Manager of the Centre for Public Scrutiny, responsible for the administration of the organisation, including financial planning and monitoring.

His background is in finance, originally in banking at NatWest, where he undertook a wide variety of managerial roles including Corporate Account Management and Audit.  He then went onto work for Gresham, a Private Equity firm, where he ran their Banking Licence as well as managing their Treasury book and general operations.

Don was a local councillor in the London Borough of Bexley, where he was Deputy Leader and the Cabinet Member for Finance & Corporate Services. He was a Cabinet Member for six years and prior to that was an Overview & Scrutiny Chairman for six years and Pensions Committee Chairman for three years.

He is a Governor at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, the specialist international Drama School in Sidcup.  Previously he was a member of the Court of the University of Kent and he has also served as a Magistrate on the South East London Bench.  |  020 3866 5106
